The Carol Ann Schulmeister Memorial Musician Scholarship

Picture1.png

Carol was born January 7, 1947 and died 16 years later on September 14, 1964  of an illness at the beginning of her senior year
at Bishop Gibbons High School.

Carol was a talented and gifted pianist who played in a family classical music trio.
She also played solo piano at local venues  including many appearances at Kleinhans Music Hall.

In her short time on earth,  Carol was a mentor that taught us the art of playing together and the art of practicing.
She was always  kind to others and offered to help anyone in need.

This  scholarship is to honor her short,  but rewarding life,  and will go to a music student who shows talent and dedication to their instrument.

The applicant must demonstrate strong community service and dedication towards helping the homeless and
other needed services in our community.
